As the CD player in my New (to me) car doesn't play MP3s I was looking at these but have 2 worries. This is 1 - how big a problem is interference? If I have to take the aerial off I can't use the radio and won't get traffic info.
The other is that the Zavvi site says: " Belkin Mobile Power Cord that connects to your car's cigarette lighter so you can preserve your batteries as you play your tunes on the road (will not charge the TuneCast II)". Eh? What does it do then? Charge my MP3 player? I don't need a charger for that as its batteries last ages and I can charge it conveniently enough at home or work, but the tunecast will live in my car - how do I charge it?
The interference became annoying to me after a while, but I'm very picky, some might not even notice. I travel 35 miles as well to work, so if you travel less you'll find it easier to get a frequency that's clean.
The cable is just to power the device instead of using batteries, it won't charge the batteries if you put rechargeables in.
