good as you dont need 1080p on a screen this size unless you are going to use it as a pc monitor.....but then id quation whay you are better off with a proper monitor with a higher res panel

what a dunce...you clearly now nothing and the fact you are using a samsung to watch tv proves my point...you cant tell the difference unless you are using it as a pc monitor....your 26in sammy isnt 1080p anyway as no 26in tv is.....sammy lcd tv's are garbage..they are tv's for chavs....terrible burn your retina overprocessed picture, usual lcd backlight bleed..also likely to use the same panel found in some sony tv's which do a better processing job imo
oh i have a sammy lcd for my pc but its garbage compared to my pioneer plasma

I'm glad somebody agrees with me about samsung tvs, most overrated TVs you can get. Don't get me wrong some of their more expensive models are good but the cheaper ones are nothing short of average

Panasonic/Pioneer all the way for me. Sony arnt bad either

Is it right that all the sub £600 Sony's are 50 Hz only? It seems weird that everyone else does their models in 100Hz for around that price point but with a Sony you're getting up toward £800 for their 100Hz models?

The only reason i ask is that i thought the Xbox 360 games sometimes restrict 50Hz only models, or is that rubbish?

Yes - 3 of my 4 games (Forza 2, Kung Fu Panda, Viva Pinata) only work in 60 HZ mode - Lego Indiana Jones works at 50Hz tho...
