Quick check on Google will tell you all you need to know; there does appear to be a good few complaints

OK I did check camerabox review .. I haven't really done any shop checks before and this was helpful. Thanks.
They seem to either have great 5 stars or 1 star rubbish .. so a mixed bag Maybe not really good .. shame as they are a little cheaper and one comment was grey import .. don't know if this makes a difference as most cameras are made in Asia anyway.

I think grey imports does affect the warranty, oh and the charger may not work on 240v. In fact I'd be more inclined to spend the extra £12 and get it from Amazon

Just purchased an FX500 from these guys.

No serial number on the box and the serial on the camera was not UK (you have to look for the letters CE)

All accessories inside were US not UK with a UK plug adaptor included. The box was very tatty as well which would imply that it is not brand new or has been reboxed.

Phoned Panansonic and they confirmed that as it was a US model and no warranty could be offered in the UK.

Will be returning it and crossing my fingers that they issue a refund. Slightly embarrassed to have been sucked in by the cheap prices. In fairness the camera looks fine but not having a warranty is more of a worry.

Wish i had just bought from Amazon.

Tried phoning, goes straight through to answerphone. No reply to emails.

Avoid.

Sounds like a shocking company tbh.

http://www.scam.com/showthread.php?t=116123

Although I bought a Nikon lens off them a while back which came with warranty card and when I registered it, it registered ok with Nikon.
Sounds like a hit or a miss company and I won't be buying from them again after reading and hearing about their customer service.

Would be wary of sending it back as you may never see the camera or your money again, going by the reviews

I know.

Really annoyed with myself at this.

I may just stick with it for now. Phoned Panasonic again and they said it was actually a Canadian model and would not be covered by UK warranty.

What to do.

Bear in mind i am going travelling to Canada next year so it may not be an issue LOL.
