Corsair Memory 1GB 200 SODIMM PC5300 CL5 DDR2 UNBUFFERED - £10.88!

£10.88

47°

FOUND BY: imdurc 3 years, 3 weeks ago

I've been watching this memory for over three months as I've been wanting to upgrade my notebook memory up to 2GB, But other things have taken priority, lately. However, I checked the prices on the off-chance some other dabs stuff I was watching had dropped in price and found this amazing deal for the Corsair Value Select ram.

It's usually around the £70 mark but has slowly dropped to this amazing price of £45. I've already put in my order for a couple of sticks. AND... Dabs also have a voucher offer on at the moment whereby if you buy anything over £70, you get £10 off! So, not only do you have a great deal in the memory price, but if you buy 2, it'll only cost £84 for 2 sticks!!

If my confirmation is worth anything, I'll endorse this as a good deal.

For comparison, look at crucial www.crucial.com/uk who are considered top quality for RAM and service.

Great find. Also been looking for some more ram for my laptop but have been finding the prices a bit high. This is a bargain at this price.

Unfortunately showing as delivery in 1 - 2 weeks at the moment. Does anybody have an experience of Dabs and what they are like on honouring prices when they are out of stock?

Cracking price, I've not checked the price elseware apart from crucial £61) but it looks real cheap.

1Gig Crucial DDR2 PC2-5300 • CL=5 • UNBUFFERED • NON-ECC • DDR2-667 • 1.8V • 128Meg x 64

Price £61.09

JonDOnnis you will need to check what your laptop takes as 7081 isnt listed at crucial. Yours might be DDR and not DDR2 as this ram is.

Prices have really plummeted recently - Scan have these 800mhz 1GB modules for £46 each:

Too true on prices. Has something happened recently for it to be like this? I'm guessing the folk upgrading to Windows Vista would be upgrading memory and buy up some stocks. Don't know what, if any companies have done this. My brother who works in I.T. says they're not touching it until it's been tested and made sure to be compatible with everything.

Anyway, yeah, I'd looked at scan and almost went with them, but then dabs.com offered up a £10 off voucher on orders over £70! That made it the best deal in my eyes.

No it isn't. DDR1 ram does not work in DDR2 slots and DDR2 ram does not work in DDR1 either.

Also, just in case, this thread is for notebook memory as well and not desktop

Cheers - should have looked a bit closer at the title.

Any idea what RAM a 1.6Ghz Centrino laptop would need?

The best way to find out is to use the Crucial Selection tool or the system scanner
