I have one paid £80 for it a while back and it is the best little gadget I've bought in years. It plays just about everything you can throw at it including MKV files. dead easy to set up and works great with just about any external hard drive. heat and rep added.

The only thing to bear in mind is they are updating this shortly to add a network port for those who want to stream media.

Would imagine the new one will cost closer to £100 though.

heres another one you might want to compare if you wish to stream over network etc "www.thextreamer.com" brought one yesterday, but granted hasnt come yet though. still quite new and has mini bugs but they will be ironed out!

Its DTS audio. For this, theres a tool calledc PopCorn MKV AudioConverter. http://www.videohelp.com/tools/PopCo...AudioConverter

If you download that, and then let the program automatically grab all the necessary programs to come with (ogg codec, mkvmerge etc), all you have to do is load the file, click on the right hand side to convert audio to ac3 then hit convert.

It will then do the rest by converting the DTS to AC3 and remux it back into another mkv file which you can then play on this player. The new WD Player has dts support.

PopCorn MKV AudioConverter works really well. A 12 gig blu ray converted in about 5 minutes.

You won't be disappointed... tis the first gadget I've bought that has achieved the wife-approval-factor. Now I'm Gig-Ethernet wiring the house to make use of remote streaming.

Try Devolo 200 homeplugs - I can stream HD to my 360 no probs. Uses the houses mains wiring.
