has anybody stayed in a De Vere hotel

i went on a training course for work at 1,n the woman who did the training was staying there she said it was nice.that was in warington i wouldnt think that 1 would be good with kids as was in the middle ov a industrial estate thingy just off the motorway.the food was nice tho.

i dont know who ran the competition but my family was put forward by someone else, we didnt know anything until we won, its for next year and we will be finding out all the details this week

i dont know if transport is included but i'm willing to drive.
just want to make sure that the surrounding area has plenty to offer the kids.

i'm from scotland so a hotel with a whiskey bar is right up my street, but not the kids.
but saying that it might be an ideal base for visiting family and friends. its on the list

you had me worried there, i had to re read the passage.

I've stayed in the one near Reading:

Pros:
Friendly Staff
Nice room
Flat screen tv
Free tea/coffee/internet

Cons:
Mediocre breakfast
Middle of nowhere
Swimming pool was cold

There is a golf course, but that might be a pro or a con depending on whether or not you play!

Hi we have stayed at the Warrington one many times, and altho it is on an office estate near the motorway, the hotel and grounds are lovely and it near to Chester, Cheshire Oaks, Liverpool and Manchester so loads to do nearby - esp Chester Zoo for the kids :-)

Also been to Daventry and Reading ones and again hotels are well away from shops etc but in great areas for sightseeing and decent towns for activities - and both have fantastic grounds and are lovely to stay in.

Enjoy your holiday - I am very jealous as I love these hotels :-) !!
