Was hoping the collectors edition contained the DLC (or a code for it), but it appears not. Still a hot price though

:
Collector's Edition contains:

Fallout 3 game
Metal Lunchbox
5" Vault-Boy Bobble-Head Figurine
Fallout 3 artbook
"Making of Fallout 3" DVD

PAL EU Version - not for resale

the reason it doesnt contain any dlc, is because the collectors edition has been around longer than the dlc. this aint a new release, its been out for a long time, and has been this price in quite a few different places since its release.

its the GOTY that contains all the dlc, which is the one i would go for. its available for around £30, from friday.

i got this version, but am getting the GOTY as its cheaper than buying the dlc separetly

What DLC is there, and is it worth it? (easy rep for you )

Was hoping to pick up the original package for around a tenner and then maybe add a bit of DLC. That's gonna be cheaper than spending £30, surely?

First PS3 Fallout 3 DLC set for Sep 24

"Bethesda has announced that a new update for Fallout 3 on PS3 was released today, addressing a number of issues, implementing some optimisations and adding trophy support for the upcoming DLC.

Good timing too, with Bethesda also confirming that the first of five upcoming DLC releases, Broken Steel, is to be released on September 24. This will be followed by Operation: Anchorage and The Pitt on October 1, and Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta on "

"Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition" (11 August 2009)
---
It has recently been announced by Bethesda that the five pieces of downloadable content available for the Xbox 360 & PC platforms (and later for the PS3) will all be available to buy bundled with the "Game of the Year Edition" of the title (available in the US from 13 October 2009, or currently "October 2009" in the UK/Europe, including the PS3 variant).

By the time the "Game of the Year Edition" is available the first four downloadable components will also be available in two separate retail packs, with the fifth being rumoured to be available as a solo component.

The five addition components to the game, available as a complete set on the same disk as the main title in the "Game of the Year Edition" will therefore be:

* The G.E.C.K.
* Operation: Anchorage

"Start by entering a military simulation of one of the game’s most epic battles, liberating Anchorage, Alaska from communist invaders."

* The Pitt
* Broken Steel

"The Pitt brings you back to the world in a sprawling, ravaged and morally challenging experience in post nuclear Pittsburg, Pennsylvania."

"Broken Steel extends the Main Quest, allowing you to find out what happens next in the Capital Wasteland and extends the level cap to 30, with all new perks and achievements to unlock along the way."

* Point Lookout

"Explore a massive new swampland area filled with new quests and content."

* Mothership Zeta

"You’ve survived the Washington Wasteland, battled behemoths, mutilated mutants and lived to tell the tale. Now in Mothership Zeta, survive an alien abduction and see how tough you really are."

the GOTY edition works out cheaper than buying all the dlc seperately. there are 5 dlc, all priced at £8 each on PSN, so if u plan on buying them all, like me, then the GOTY is the one to go for
