Free bus service around Cardiff City Centre

New City Centre FREE bus

From 12th October you can get around the city centre using a new free bus service.

You can hop on and off the 'Free b' as many times as you wish. The 'Free b' service follows a circular route that travels anti-clockwise around the city centre linking

Churchill Way
Windsor Lane
Greyfriars Road (opposite New Theatre)
Greyfriars Road - (Hilton Hotel)
Castle Street
Westgate Street opposite stadium nearest Castle
St Mary Street Golate north
St Mary Street Golate south
Central Bus Station D1A
Wyndham Arcade
Canal Street
David Street (from November)
Churchill Way (Capitol Centre)

The 'Free b' service operates every 10 minutes - 7 days a week

Monday-Friday 8.00am-8.00pm;

Saturday 8.00am-6.00pm,

Sunday 9.00am-6.00pm

Hadn't heard about this...cheers for the info. It's all walkable though, but if you have arm fulls of shopping suppose it could be useful rather than weaving down the high street!

Going to be in Cardiff at half term so good to know....easier to persude 2 small children to go shopping when there's a bus instead of walking!!!

i think this service is great. walking to work the other day and kept seeing it whizz round and round with nobody on. if i were the driver i would time my laps of the city and try to beat my personal best. i guess thats why im not a bus driver. this is bound to take off when st davids 2 opens. guess it doesnt apply to anyone who doesnt live or visit cardiff but is a great idea for shoppers and visitors who need to get around

Glad bus service exists as walking from the east of the city centre to the train station can be a pain.

I'm planning my pub crawl already.....start at Varsity..... Tiger Tiger and then down to Walkabout.... all with no shoe tread being used!! H & R

you seriously need to be lazy to even bother with this, I mean come on it really doesn't take long to walk from one end of town to the other.
Now if they wanted to give free busses to other areas of cardiff, or at least cut the price of bus fare (on the peoples bus apparently owned by us, I don't rememeber agreeing to a price hike) that would be awesome.
