LG 32LF7700 32 inch LCD TV with built in freesat HD, order through this company (Electrical experience) and you'll get a free glass stand (not bad looking - worth about £75), chuck in free delivery and I'd say tht this is a pretty corking deal for £386.30.

Hey this looks to be a very nice TV .. I have just ordered the sammy 32B550 and this has FREESAT and a Ethernet connection - I'm thinking linked to your network to view movies etc. ?? might think about cancelling ...

Some mixed reviews though ..

How much did you pay for the B550? I've been looking at the B550 and read reviews for this LG which like you said are quite mixed, Blacks look milky and something which makes the screen duller which you can't switch off.

Well I have one of these and the blacks look absolutely fine to me. Where you mention the screen being duller you must be talking about the energy saving option; this CAN be turned off. The freesat capability is great though and it will even pick up every channel broadcasting from a given satellite, not just freesat (although encrypted channels remains encrypted of course). Brilliant TV especially when viewing BBC HD.

Thanks for the reply Ladily just things I'd read on AVforums, you don't happen to have a PS3 hooked up to yours do you? Just some of the replys on Amazon say there is some stuttering just I'm after a T.V and don't want any problems been looking for ages I'm kinda waiting for a Toshiba 32" to come down in price but this is great with the freesat and stand.

This is an absolutely brilliant TV. I bought it as part of a £499 package from John Lewis just over a month ago. Along with the TV, the deal included an LG BD-370 Blu-Ray player and 5-year warranty. The Blu-Ray player was kaput when it arrived, so John Lewis offered a refund or replacement. Was refunded nearly £200 meaning I got the TV for just a shade over £300 with a 5-year warranty.

Anyway, it's a truly excellent piece of kit. I've had no experience of stuttering other than the occasional glitch in the digital satellite feed. I really couldn't recommend it highly enough.

I love my 2y/o 720p 32" LG LCD, it gets a right battering because I am looking for a job atm so its on all day long, brilliant TV. My dad commented how clear the picture was (and he is one of these silly 'if its not 1080p, its no good' guys)

Yeah I read the same reviews about supposed issues with the PS3 and persuaded myself to buy a Toshiba 32RV635dB over this. Great TV by the way, but after 10 days the on/off switch broke away internally rendering the TV useless and it had to be returned. Bit of a design fault (the switch on the 32RV635dB is very cheap and plasticky) so went back and took another look at the LF7700; the on/off switch on this TV is of somewhat better construction btw.

I found very few reviews for this TV in my research other than the odd comments referred to above on Amazon. It's an absolutely fine TV. I don't have a PS3 so I really can't comment on these two Amazon user reports. I bought from Richer Sounds for £389 btw but if you're quick its back in stock at John Lewis as of yesterday at £449.

Well I paid £409 for the Sammy 32B550 form a deal here the other day, but will get £80 in these funny cdiscount credit in next 30 days. It is not in stock and am still waiting (just over a week). Also £12 quidco is tracking.

So that's why I am tempted at this deal, albeit it is more expensive ... It says Ethernet which I thought only the Sony's had?? big bonus is FreeSAT (assume only normal and not HD Feesat?)

The Sammy looks amazing even in the shops and I use my current Samsung LE32A455 (white) Sammy for TV and PS3.

No, I can confirm 100% that this does have Freesat HD.

Would John Lewis do a price match on this, or do they only do so for bricks and mortar places?

Edit: It looks like The Electrical Experience is a bricks and mortar place with a shop in Bolton. Hmm...

Think it is high street shops only not webshops which is a shame ... Anyone know more about the Ethernet port or is it only for TV Firmware updates ? I have seen 2 places saying it has one.

Also does anyone know what size the box it comes in is (w x d x h) and weight

Thanks

The ethernet port is part of the FreeSAT specification.

The port (on this or any other FreeSAT product) are not enabled at present but will be over the next few months as BBC are launching their iPlayer service through FreeSAT.

The BETA testing is currently in progress.

AFAIK, you can't connect to the FreeSAT TV when connected via ethernet from another computer etc, so you cannot stream media etc like an XBOX360 / PS3 etc.

Cool ... Thanks for that ... Is there any where doing it at same price with more than 1 year warranty?

Also anyone with the boxed size and weight ?
