The large Sainsburys in Bracknell are selling and had stock of the Go Go Hamster Playset - Skateboard & Uturn Tube, Go Go Hamster Playset - Adventure Ball, and Go Go Hamster Playset - Surfboard & Sleep Dome for £11.99. Understandably this is two pounds dearer than the recommended retail price for the playsets but many people are having difficulty finding stock of the products. This offer should be nationwide. They also had stock of all the varieties of Hamsters at £9.99, and blankets for £4.99.

If you think this is slight exploitation try Tesco Home Plus in Bracknell who stock the Play sets and are charging £19.99 !

Hope this is information helps as this is supposedly the next big Christmas toy.

I have to agree with you there, I have been sucked in to buying many of the Xmas 'top toys' over the years, and this one is just silly, very over-priced. The hamsters alone are ok, still way over priced, but ok, it's the accessories that get me.

My daughter is nearly 10, she loves all these 'animal' toys, I've bought her the hamster,sorry to contradict myself, but yes, sucked in again!!! If I can find the playball I'll get her that too, but if I don't find it, no biggy. She's a little too old to be getting this sort of thing, but hey, I like to keep that childhood imagination going!!!

Every shop will be over-run with this stuff come Boxing Day, at half the price too.

I've had a play with the hamsterWell, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about!!! It makes noises, WOW, it 'whizzes' back and forth in circles, not very good on carpets, ok on hard floors, I guess. We have a cat, which is the only reason I didn't send it back, if my daughter gets bored, the cat sure won't,lol
