Not guilt free - not organic - full of synthetic chemicals
This organic non-sense really annoys me. I'm a chemist and to me organic means containing carbon (and oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen and phosphorous). Just look at any organic chemistry laboratory. Alll this rubbish has been introduced to the world by newspapers. Many newspaper journalists find science "too difficult" and report their own spin on it. I also believe there was an investigation headed by Lord Krebs which found that organic offered no additional health benefits compared to "normal" food. If science is reported clearly to members of the public many will understand it and will not find it as difficult as the humanities journalists claim it to be.
