you should have mentioned it is a refurb in the title
there is another 500gb media player on this site (brand new) that is a little bit more expensive but you do get a HDMI socket:

This has to be the R700 see here: http://www.emtec-international.com/e...ategorie=STMOB Which means it does have HDMI out and wireless with USB dongle, thus looks very good for the money.

But can either be hooked up to freeview box to act as a cheap(ish) recorder?
