5 studio albums, spanning from 1998, counts as enough in my book :P

Best of? No way.

First two albums were brilliant Songs for Polar Bears and When its all over we still have to clear up), The Reindeer Section albums are brilliant, Final Straw was good in places. Most of everything I have heard after that has been awful.

So upset at how bad they came, and this best of does not represent how good they were.

Unfortuantly Gary seems to have become a worse musician since he sobered up.

Oh dear. I expect you like Keane too. Their first two albums were the only one that were good, not middle of the road 3 chord power blandness.

Gary Lightbody was on Soccer AM when Snow Patrol had had a couple of hits off Final Straw and was asked why no-one had heard of them previously, given that this was their third album.

His reply was that the first two were rubbish (with no hint of irony).

I would not like to pass judgement on them myself as I've not heard them, but his comments have always put me off buying them. It will be interesting to hear the songs from those albums that are included on this.

Can I just add that the picture suggests it includes a DVD (there is a special DVD edition too), but this price relates to the standard version.
