Good price for a CRT TV, thanks Bertt

Better to spend another £125 and get a TFT, IMO.

Not sure about that edi, I'd rather have CRT TV than LCD. If it is OK sizewise or course.

Amusing to see this voted cold - perhaps an 'uncool' button is needed to placate those whose sensibilities are offended by yesterday's technology. This has to be a good price for what you get - if you want it.

Sorry edi, I'm with Kommunist on this. If your not bothered about the bulk or HD why spend more on a LCD when you are probably going to have to spend 3 times as much for comparable pictue quality

I did say this is a good deal for those who look for CRT. Thanks again Bertt

LCD option is my opinion. We are still using 26" Philips CRT but want to replace soon due to space contraints.

I like the way they've angled the shot so it looks like a flatscreen!

I have one of these and they are a great tv - I have had mines for over 2 years now and they are very slim at the back. obviously not as slim as plasma and lcd

I had one of these. The geometry was very bad so I got a refund. I have a AOC 32'' LCD now and think it's much better. These TV's are supposed to be hit and miss and i definitely missed. If you get a good one, it's definitely worth £225.

These SlimFit TV's from Samsung have been plagued with problems relating to their picture.

The geometry is all over the place as a result of the gun attempting to compensate for the screen being closer than normal.

There was a big discussion on Avforums last year.

My suggestion would be to avoid.

There has been lots of discussion about this television on many forums.

Many seem to have had geometry issues as mentioned by a previous poster, however some people have had no problems and swear by it.

Oh and for all you must have LCD/PLASMA type of people,a good CRT television kicks the pants off all it`s other more fashionable rivals and as of yet there is no format that will produce as good a picture as a good quality CRT.

Rival formats may be thinner but that`s about the only advantage.

Amazingly I have to agree (I say amazingly because I'm normally a mad new technology geek). I have a top of the range Philips 'Crystal Green' 32" 100hz CRT tv (what a mouthful), had it for 5 years and the pic quality is simply breathtaking, especially with DVD. Everybody who sees it for the first time remarks on how amazing the pics look. Cost me a bomb but has saved me a fortune in not feeling the need to chase the new technology in the marketplace until:

a. LCD/plasma get better
b. My beloved Phips conks out.

I've had friends buy a plasma 'because they take up less room'...then place it on a TV stand that is no smaller than one that holds a CRT? Baffling...
