Good warning there Computerman - always surprising how many people don't realise the HDCP aspects, ie implicit in HDMI interface, but totally optional/extra on DVI interface.
I myself have a DVI HDCP ready display, but only a DVI non-HDCP video card - bought before I even thought about HD, but still stifling any HD playback from any disc.
At the time of the great HD-DVD stock-clearance drive sell-off I recall a utility that I ran on my PC to check the HDCP status of devices (ie graphics circuitry and digital display), but unfortunately can't recall it's name right now.
PS: While HDCP is as I earlier said "implicit" in HDMI devices, it apparently is NOT required by the specification, just would be VERY unusual for a display not to support it
