£7.35

505°

FOUND BY: widstyle 1 month, 5 days ago

STARTS: 21/10/2009   EXPIRES: 31/10/2009

I am an O2 customer and was looking to sign up for the best broadband deal and found this so heads up for those who have or know someone who has an O2 contract (thats 20 million customers who can take advantage of this offer!) or even pay & go sim!

PLEASE NOTE : ALSO FOR PAY AND GO CUSTOMERS SUBJECT TO £10 TOP UP EVERY 3 MONTHS!!!

so its £9.79/mnth with 3 months free so 1 yr = £88.11
quidco for the premium package is £75 so = £13.11 for the year
or in other terms £1.09 per month (or £4.09 per month if you dont have O2 and want to take into account the £10 per 3 mnths top up for pay & go customers if you get a sim)

Free wireless router, Unlimited downloads, Customer service number is FREE so no charges for calling them up if problems, NO connection charge and 3 licenses for mcafee antivirus (worth around £15 quid on its own - cheapest i could find after a quick froogle search)

i know quidco is not a guarantee. but i always get it paid and so do most of others plus you can put an enquiry in if it doesnt track in the first place and i think a lot of people DO take quidco into account when buying online...... plus main thing is its just a heads up like i said.

yes like all independent broadband companies..........

"You can only get O2 Home Broadband over a BT phone line. If you get your landline from Virgin Media or a similar company, you need to switch to BT to sign up for our broadband. Unfortunately, we can’t make that happen for you. You’ll need to speak to your current provider and BT to get things rolling." - quote from o2 broadband site!

I did/do.

When I asked (last week) I was told I'd need a connected, active BT (or similar sub-supplier) line. i.e. you have a dial tone. So It won't work if your phone line is supplied by a cable company.

They also told me that they won't take orders unless the line is active at the point of ordering (unlike mine, ).

Hope this helps.

This is the same offer and cashback levels that has run now for 5 or 6 weeks and been posted in various guises over the period - ie good to get the word out, but repetitive.

For those who want to see all the options/permutations of the o2 packages with/without cashback and with/without an o2 mobile (it's ALWAYS best to get one even if you dont use it) see my features & net-cost computations at
http://cid-99aa6cf1226facfe.skydrive...re%20Broadband

Also includes a detailed comparison to the o2 sister company, Be Value at 50% for 12months offer that has been (wrongly) raved about on here.

For those WORRIED about cashbacks not tracking then I suggest you (a) order online but AT THAT TIME do not enter your MAC - that way the order is placed/pending but can't be actioned; (b) as soon as you see it HAS tracked then input the MAC.

i did check and NO deal for the 20mb broadband offer which in itself is a good deal given the average is now 8mb.
and just put an enquiry in with quidco and you'll get your monies.

I got rapidly paid out for my O2 offer a while back. NO problems - just adhere to the rules I.E. MUST BE COMPLETED WHOLLY ONLINE.

Also, if you drop your package (as I did) you will revert to a roaming ISP instead of a fixed ISP.

Hasn't made any noticeable difference to me.

Also told them to shove McAfee. AVIRA is far superior and less problematic.

Sadly, I have had several instances of Qudco not tracking and, sometimes when it did, not being paid, on almost £1000 worth of purchases, from several pcs. Their support was terrible. Although we pay for Quidco at £5 per year they really give little in the way of service. The other free sites are better value, if they offer the same amount of cashback.

I do recommend cash-back sites, but it's important to know that many people's purchases do not get the money paid to them that they should - this is when rules are followed ref. cookies etc.
