It is the cheapest, I had a good old Google. So not sure why it's been voted cold. Damn good printer too.

I'll add my 9 degrees worth to warm it up a little.

This deal should be judged on the item in question, which does not promise to provide Fax facilities.

I think people completely misunderstand what they should be voting the deal on! Everyone has their own expectations of a product. If this isnt the one for you, move along and dont vote!

I think I'll letch from now on and not post anymore deals!

Looks good to me. I'm in the market for this particular model, and I can't find it any cheaper.

But you'll find that Epson have recently dropped the price of this, so Amazon are showing it at £149.99. But they don't have Quidco and the £5 off.

So voted hot from me!

Don't take it personally, HUKD is no longer a site where a deal is voted hot purely on the fact something is a great price, and hasn't been for a long while now. You now have to post a popular item and at a great price to get some heat. However don't worry those in the know will thank you and rep you all the same, and if your posting of deals helps a handful of people save a few quid then it will always be worthwhile. For what it's worth heat and rep added.

Hi all,

As this contributor states, the Epson PX710W truly is a great Multifunctional printer but :-

I bet nobody realized that Epson brought this model out as a re-fresh model to the previous highly acclaimed PX700W model and that there is absolutely NO difference at all between the 2 models.

Being rather puzzled why they had brought out the refresh model at £199.95,a whopping £50 more than the previous model i started asking Epson some awkward questions and put them right on the spot.Without going into too much detail,i can inform everyone that Epson IMMEDIATELY dropped their price to £149.99.I then contacted other on-line suppliers to tell them about the Epson price-drop and a lot of them responded positively by dropping their prices to a few pence under £150.

I wonder how many other companies do the same thing to Con consumers !!!---keep your eyes peeled and report on this site if you spot a similar scam.

What I can tell everyone is this;--------prices will continue to drop everywhere on the run-up to xmas except by Epson themselves who will maintain the £149.99 price tag, and because a glut of the printers are expected in the shops and online before xmas i can safely predict another price drop with online suppliers such as Amazon etc. to under the £130 mark immediately after Xmas.

The following online shops sell at a few pence below £150 and ALL give FREE delivery:-
Epson
John Lewis
Tesco
Amazon
PC World
Comet
Dixons
Currys

Happy Shopping.

I have this printer (710W) and there is at least one difference between the two models.

Quote from an Epson techie:

Agent (Nathan Garbett): "Ok, the PX710W is a refresh model of this, this includes a new feature of being able to initialise a scan from the printer via wifi, the PX700W will only do this when connected via USB."

From the amazon user reviews for the 700W:

"I managed to get it to print OK over the network, but couldn't scan to the PC without using a USB cable (not provided)."

"4. To the person that was having trouble scanning- If you try to scan to pc using the printer control panel then it asks for a cable. But if you use the "Epson Scan" program on the pc then it'll work wirelessly. Hope that made sense."

Note: the 710W does come with a USB cable in the box. So at least two differences!

I'm chuffed with mine, faultless printing so far.

All i can say in reply to Mangakat is,Epson did quote me differences between the 2 models, but on closer inspection i was able to determine that what they had told me was not correct,i pointed this out to Epson and also pointed out that there was absolutely NO DIFFERENCE WHATSOEVER between the PX700w and the so-called refreshed PX710W.Epson could offer no further explanation and IMMEDIATELY dropped the price of the PX710W by £50.

Re. Agent (Nathan Garbett) Take what he says with a pinch of salt,I have gone through it all with Epson.

Regarding the inclusion of a USB cable with the PX710W.This cable should have been included with the PX700W model and most suppliers gave it free with the purchase.

That's it in a nutshell.

What i do heartily agree on is,either printers, the PX700W or the PX710W are outstanding printers and that the photo prints are exceptional.

TIP ! As everyone is aware, printer manufacturers inks are outrageously expensive,my personal favourite compatible ink is Print-Rite.

Yep, chuffed with it (so far).

There are various CIS's on ebay. I've gone for the re-fillable cartridge type. Haven't used it yet, so can't comment on it.

Hello MangaKat, I suppose all is good with this printer and offer. Purchases from Tesco are easily returned, without having to rely on the postal system.

Is there a particular reason you went for the re-fillable cartidge type, also, how good/reliable are they? Do they get good reviews?

Also, this printer is not in stock from the website, that means if I visit the store they will not have it in stock either? I wonder how long it will be before more come into stock. I'm getting a bit impatient, but I want the tesco clubcard points and peace of mind, safe in the knowledge that if I have any problems I will easily be able to return the printer.
