EXPIRED - Free £5 bet on Liverpool V Man United this weekend @ Betfair (New Customers Only & No card details needed)

196°

FOUND BY: stevey_p7 4 weeks, 1 day ago

Just received this great notification e-mail from Betfair. Its a Win Win situation here for all new customers, i was gutted when I found out it was for new guys on Betfair. Then again you could just create a new account and do it that way ;-)

Looks as though you are not required to part with any money at all and you get £5 free from Betfair to choose Liverpool, United or the Draw.

You can choose to put £5 free on Liverpool WIN, Manchester United WIN or a DRAW.

Dear Stephen,
(New Customers only)

It doesn't get much bigger than a Manchester United vs. Liverpool Northwest Derby and we're giving you a totally Free £5 bet to help you enjoy it with.

Simply select either a Man Utd win, a draw or a Liverpool win and we'll put £5 on it for you - if you win the money is yours!

So if you back Man Utd and they win you collect £15 absolutely free! Betfair proud to back Manchester United

When you bet at Betfair, you bet against other fans. That means that you could be betting against Liverpool fans...that way, when United win you can enjoy the fact that you've taken money from someone supporting that other lot!

Good luck

The Betfair Team.
Betfair.com - Betting as it should be.

Good Luck to all (Mancs). Doesn't seem as though card details are needed but if they are nothing will be taken from the account as its a FREE bet courtesy of Betfair.

Enjoy ;-)

EDIT: Can someone give me a decent reason for the cold votes. You can choose United Liverpool or the Draw for Free. Don't see how it can be cold if they are letting you choose completely free with no card details needed.

how biased can you get

and Ill tell you why I voted cold.....votes arent always just because of the actual deal...some weight has to be given to where the deal is coming from (i.e the website)....as said above this website is extremely biased and I think that any betting website should remain impartial.....I would rather not deal with such a website that is so biased, making the deal cold IMO

of course thats just my opinion...you asked for a reason and I gave you mine

Doesn't seem like they'll try to scam you into wagering the bonus once you've won, so hot from me. I already have a Betfair account, and they've now seem to have cracked down on the multiple accounts trick (they now go by name + date of birth, and not just email like previously).
I once had previous 4 accounts, closed them all and then made my 5th for an ipod touch bonus. Transferred my poker money from one site to betfair and lost $1200 trying to clear it, haha. Let's just say I never played poker there again. Never witnessed anything like it! oh i got my ipod though..but it would have been so much cheaper to buy it! :P

Here's the terms if you win btw:

3. Winning bets must be claimed via the completion of the account registration process and the proceeds of a winning bet will be accessible from such account upon successful registration (including any requirements that may be necessary such as proof of age and identity). Customers will register with the company providing the relevant betting services to them e.g. UK customers must register with Betfair Limited, (non Australian) international customers must register with Betfair International ENC and Australian customers must register with Betfair Pty Limited.
Players should be aware that prices on markets available for this promotion are not the true odds available on the core exchange but instead prices provided by the Promoter.

Probably yes. I assume they'll ask you to make an initial deposit with a card, then it'll get flagged when the name on the account is different to the one on the card. Most gambling sites will ask for proof of identity if you pay with a debit card (which is fair enough because you can get one from 16yo). You may be OK with a credit card. But with any option you'll need to deposit first. There is a workaround in the form of Neteller, because you don't get asked for your name when you deposit via that.

It was different with my iPod because that was actually a physical object, so they didn't have to go processing cash to a card or anything and it was probably sent by a third party anyways.

This IS a good deal for new customers, but the old ones will no doubt vote it cold because they aren't included. Personally I'd put another fiver on correct score - probably 2 nil to United ;) I can't see L'pool winning or scoring, although Rooney potentially not being fit is a bit worrying.

EDIT: Just used a different date of birth instead. Can't see any way of them confirming that without asking for ID (which I wouldn't send anyways)

All you need is an e-mail address. So I asked my mum if she fancied a bet and she said yes. although this means if it comes in then she wants half the winnings

Hmm, which team to win? They never draw. Liverpool are on a terrible streak and are probably without their whole team (Torres and Gerrad) but think they could just win it...

I haven't been impressed with united this season, got some luck against arsenal for example. And no rooney. I expect that the liverpool odds are longer, so i would put it on them, as you've nothing to lose and they could just get a cheeky win.

liverpools odds are longer? as in most favourite to win? lol, they've lost 4 on the trot to some shocking teams and it's fairly obvious that without gerrard or torres they are a mid-table team at best.
alright united haven't played great, but they are top of the table and winning the league is all about grinding out win after win. anyone who says the team who win the title were 'lucky' really do not have a clue!
you get £15 on any of the 3 options. liverpool being an easy third choice!
