Typical Belgium, German and French food pricing strategy which to double to the price that they would sell normally in the home country and then do a BOGOF here. This tin of luxury Belgium biscuit is infact 2 X 200g = 400g. So the normal price of £7 for 400g. You will find it a challenge to find biscuit same quality that is £3.50 for 200g in Belgium. At BOGOF for £1.75 for 200g, it is just above average in Belgium.

Are you drunk ? That made absolutely no sense whatsoever. Each tin is 400g so it costs £3.50 for each 400g tin.

Secondly, M&S do not sell other peoples products. You won't find this product elsewhere ever. They are M&S branded. M&S will usually do a deal with a food manufacture who will make their own M&S batch.

Thirdly, they do taste very good and are excellent quality.

I do agree with you £3.50 for 400g which is the same as what I typed as £1.75 for 200g. Most biscuits sold in UK are sold as 200g so it is easier to compare biscuit prices. They are excellent biscuits but original price is double of what is normal price in Belgium where they are made for M&S. But of cousre there is a big tin with this (0r two) so the bargain aspect is the ability to use the two tins for storage for other things afterwards. I am convinced that most products are produced by third parties to M&S specifications but I do agree the ready meals are more exclusively produced for M&S. As for fresh fruits and vegetables they are all grown and produced by farmers and not by M&S 's own orchards and arable land.

Did anyone see the advert for this in yesterday's Metro on the same page as a story about famine in Ethiopia?

Ad placement fail, much?

The name of the chocolate is Belgain.
According to various forums Thorntons make all the Chocolate products for M & S.

Great spot heat added.
Tesco's own x3 for £5 but i know what i would prefer.

Jesus Splendid stop moaning, all your posts are moaning about this and that offer.
M & S don't own their own orchard's , How pathetic.

Mmm, love these biscuits, will go and get some tomorrow. Harldly any retailers produce their own products, it just wouldn't be worth the cost. It's much easier and cheaper to find a supplier then just brand it as your own.
