Rubbish graphics cards for gaming (and so not alot of point having 2 of them) and the CPU is a bit long in the tooth. This will do as a basic gaming PC, so long as you stay away from the FPS games of the last year in all but the most basic settings. You'd be better off buying a mid-spec Dell Vostro (at about £300) and separately purchase and fit a better single graphics card (for about £80-160), you'd have a far faster PC at a cheaper price.

You wont get 3 year onsite warranty tho, and it wont be able to overclock and have a 750w PSU in it , the XPS is far better for upgrading surely as Dell has made it standard and provided software to overclock , rather than proprietary parts on there other PC's

Better get 3yrs warranty on your desk too, these are well built and mighty heavy!

If you are looking for something with a bit of bling this may be it.

The graphics is comparable to a single 4850 (not a bad graphics card - mid range).

The CPU is compared to an Intel E4620 (again not too bad - mid range). It runs at 2.9Ghz! But it's 90mm old tech.

It's the 3 year warranty that seals this.

This is actually a reasonable buy I think.

A few points to be aware of, the being obviously, if you build your own it's going to be a lot better, newer and have even more warranty per part albeit not onsite.

For those who dont want to build, I wont say can't because it is very easy if a little troublesome at times, this is a decent enough build for gaming at moderate resolutions. The HD4670 in single card guise is best suited to 1280 x 1024 but does scale well in crossfire so 1680 x 1050 wont be out of the question. The case as mentioned is amazingly high quality and does look stunning. It is big and heavy though as mentioned.

THe CPU is fine for most games not tailored to quad core as anything over 2.4GHz is fine on a dual core for most games, this is when GPU power takes over. Where it will show it's age is in other CPU intensive tasks, so buy it with gaming in mind not general purpose.

Personally I would get a prebuilt from someone like yoyotech or dare I say it, OcUK for this sort of money. The warranty wont be the same standard but desktop parts rarely fail in the first 3 years unless they go within the first month or so

Mike - at first glance this does not appear as good as the 'major' Dell PC(which I sadly missed) at about £330-ish that you posted earlier this year.

Why does it have 'bling' compared to that?

XPS' are very, very sexy looking PCs.

Rawr. The insides of this one isn't particularly special, but that's after seeing a few with more power under the hood than in my car

How does this compare to the £219.99 E5400 PC 2.7GHz, 4GB DDR2, 750GB ebuyer one?

Ebuyer one is £210 cheaper which could be put to good use in getting a powerful Graphics card, though I have no idea what cards can be used on the ebuyer one.

Thanks for the input guys, the processor is the "Black Edition" AMD AthlonTM X2 5600+ Black Edition: (2.9GHz, 65W)

Not sure how much you can overclock it to make it run faster ?
