sorry to be a party pooper as I am big fan of Lidl but I gave up buying any milk from them as it always goes off far too quickly, had one bottle that literally doubled in size overnight in the fridge, after about the fourth event I spoke to the manager and he admitted they had storage issues! might only be my store but just a warning

that's not even a deal :S

I get milk for £1.00 quite regularly. Granted, it's normally 1% fat, or semi skimmed, but I don't drink whole now...

I buy from tesco. It lasts ages. Best to get locally sourced stuff too :D

Yes, must be local, not had the problem from either of 3 Lidl stores I use.
I have had a similar/opposite problem with OVER-refrigerated fruit and veg from a local Sainsbury's which ROT soon after buying them as they seem to have been partially frozen!

why not skimmed milk too? Too many shops, Sainsbury, Asda, Tesco, Co-op are forever doing deals on large sized milk, including Organic, but not including the skimmed milk. Many of these stores don't even have the large sized Organic skimmed, for example, in the same sizes as semi and full fat. Are they trying to keep us obese, or just rip-off the fat conscious shopper?

check the size of the container as they are only 2 ltrs not four pints this is how tesco and asda rip us off

They're ripping off the dairy farmers, not us.
