STARTS: 25/10/2009   

This device is the one which Microsoft give to users with the elite console, but unfortunately not with the retail 60GB and 120GB HDD units. It allows you to connect a second X360 HDD to the back of the console via USB and effectively move your data onto the new drive.

This version of the kit will also allow you to connect your Xbox 360 HDD to your PC and transfer data to/from the HDD from there. Seperate software is required for this but is available as freeware online.

To use this is as a transfer kit with a 360 console then you will also need the transfer disc which is sold seperately. Beware of buying it from foreign buyers on Ebay as the disc is region locked.

The only other way to get one of these kits is to buy it from Microsoft, who will require the serial numbers from both of your drives before they will [b]sell[/b] one to you or from sellers on Ebay, however they usually go for silly prices on there.

They're stopping 3rd party memory cards. This is just a transfer kit mate.

it is mate, if you buy a HDD they all come with the transfer kit, or how else would you jump up your 20gb or 60gb to your new 120gb HDD
as for the deal, i just tried to order and it not letting me, something about us paypal account or some codswallop

Go with the second payment option, the first one 'express' is for US cards only. The second one requires a traditional logon to Paypal.

I didn't get the kit with my drive unfortunately and I bought a 120GB drive last summer from Game.

If you use the console and the disc then it will move.

This kit, unlike the MS one, will let you copy the contents instead if you use Windows.

Regarding the above I have just purchased this memory card http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12361 from DealExtreme - i'm guessing I shoud cancel it as it's not 100% MS

Chances are that the ones on DX are probably illegally cloned from the Microsoft official ones so that will probably be fine.

Ironically, it's the more expensive 'madcatz type' which they sell over here which will face the chop.
