Thank you very much for posting OP. I've been looking for one for ages at a sensible price. . although any price is better than the ultimate price.

Does anyone know what the recommendation is for the number of Carbon Monoxide detectors is please?

Depends on how much gas you use. We only have a gas central heating boiler so our detector (a FireAngel as the original Kidde one gave up the ghost after a few years) is in the same room as the boiler.

Cheers. Will pick another up for the campervan.

Much as I do my best to remember to turn the gas off as soon as I've used it, better be safe than dead.

If you don't have one of these and you read this, you're probably swithering.
Don't.
Please buy one, one of my mates died of CO poisoning five years ago.

Ours went off the other night after having left it on the shelf for the last year and ignoring it, and scared the life out of us. After getting the boiler checked they found the auto shut-off was blocked and not shutting the boiler down despite the amount of CO being produced.

To think that without this none of us might have woken up the next morning sort of puts it in perspective at this price....
