the other deal on here was t mobile also for £25 a month but that was 600 (or was it 800) minutes a month, plus unlimited texts and unlimited internet.

I have a friend who's on Orange. His current contract was ending so he got in touch with them to see if they could offer him a good deal. He got this phone with free texts/internet for £18.50 a month!
So it might be worth phoning them if they are your current provider to talk about your displeasure? They might cut you a good deal..!

Not sure what you're getting at mate? Regardless, the other deal is deal in the water... t-Mobile are not budging one bit so this is the best "new customer" deal out there at the moment.
