Waiting for this deal to be panned and go sub-zero now, as I just ordered one and £323.10 is a lot of money for me :-( lol. Note it currently says an order takes up to 2 weeks.
Down points on this are N270 (rather than slightly faster n280), battery life has been tested to be 5 hours 30 mins by a review which is not quite so good as the 9 hours or so of the higher spec Asus 1005ha. Only Windows XP but I have my Tesco win 7 pre-order disc sat doing nothing and I suspect when they are released with 7 the price will go up. No "N" wifi, but do you really need faster than "G"! Silly combined headphone/microphone jack.
Benefits are internal 3g, 11.6" 1366x768 screen (higher res than most netbooks), bluetooth, 1gb soldered and free dimm slot means 3gb max (HP misreport as 1gb max but widely discussed on the net that you can add a 2gb stick) and Ion LE graphics which are able to output 1080p with the HDMI port. Ion LE graphics apparently are just the Ion crippled by the drivers to appease Microsoft's XP license regulations (link to follow).
Price is £359, discounted to £323.10 when you enter the code HPQUIDCO at checkout.
Also don't forget to go through quidco or topcashback (thanks to pet2000) for 8% cashback. £297.25 AFTER cashback!
HP Store Hewlett-Packard Vouchers: 10% - VCCODEHP, 10% - HP10EXTRA, 10 percent off - HPSHARE, 10% - HPQUIDCO, 10% - SAVE10HPMore
