Cheers Bristol-Dude, I guess it's because Argos owns Homebase (or the other way round?) Though they don't seem to offer the 14W on the same deal

Just had to change yet another of these bulbs. This one had lasted 8.5 months - somewhat less than the 10 years stated on the box.

I'm all in favour of saving energy, but I can't help thinking that all the manufacturing, packing and shipping that gets these things from China to here kind of cancels out the saving in energy over a few months of use
