as soon as I see the words "direct debit" I run a mile, they can be a nightmare to cancel at the best of times

and without the cashback it's not that good a deal, so not worth the gamble to tie yourself in for 12 months

never had a problem with sky personally...

ive had sky cashback 3 times too and they are very quick payers...and the vouchers come within 30 days of activation

Direct debits are VERY easy to cancel, call the bank tell them to cancel it, done.

Even easier, online banking, click cancel, done.

what does the £36 a month cover?...
im currently paying about £42 for everything except sports (not on HD)

i suppose you've put 'from' £36 there... so probably just the basics and movies

This seems like a good deal but when I joined them for the broadband and telephone I cancelled the movies to keep the monthly costs down I do however have the sports package from them along with broadband, telephone line...has anybody managed to negotiate a free HD box & installation and a couple of free months HD cost without having to have the movies as I don't tend to have time to watch them.
