Voting cold

Sure someone must have asked before but is there any reason you could not adapt the site so that to vote cold you have to leave a comment??

Seen some deals that look good to me where there are no comments added but already -30 or something and makes you wonder if it is bad deal or just people voting cold because they can

there are a few core members that vote deals cold all the time i'v seen loads get posted and go cold straight away then the next day its at 1000 hot

Good idea. The first 10 - 20 cold votes per deal should require a comment.

I think a lot of people on this site take all the good deals for granted.

as for what your saying....
I believe (might be wrong) that if people vote cold all the time their voting power is decreased.

The reason it doesn't do anything is because its a bad idea............

If I had to leave a comment - I could type gibberish "aldja;df ad;slkfja;sldf a;sdfl " and the mods won't be any the wiser (you don't think a mod is going to read every cold vote comment?)

Or I could just put "poor product", "cheaper elsewhere" etc - again the mods don't have the time or inclination to follow these comments up.

So the idea is unworkable BUT this suggestion should be added to an FAQ as it gets suggested about once a month (along with established members should only be allowed to sell on FS/FT)
