Gaming PC components

Might be worth looking at prebuilt gaming PCs and taking reference from there, give an idea of pricing and components. One thing I would suggest is to buy a good quality power supply - cheaper ones fail too often and end up taking out the rest of your PC with it!

I would go with somthing like this.

and still leaves you £100. These would definatly make a good gaming sytem.

your forgetting the mobo, and whats the point of buying an am3 processor and only using ddr2 ram?, i would check out that prebuilt one posted here a few days back, it was £400 and was pretty good http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/51277...g-pc-amd-pheno, although the processor isnt that good, its still pretty good value for money. However ill get back to you later on, on what to use if your gonna build yourself with prices of course.

And these are prices taken straight from ebuyer, so you can probably get the lot cheaper if you shop around, however most of the parts are top quality and the motherboard is pretty good, iv got it myself and i cant reccomend it enough, its also crossfire so you can add another gpu, also dont forget this system is DDR3 and the GPU is 1gb as supposed to being 512mb, the Phenom X3 720 is also an excellent overclocker if your planning on going down that route, because of the unlocked multiplier even if your not the stock clock of 2.8ghz should be more then high enough.
