e2Save are owned by Carphone Warehouse so reasonably reliable - if you avoid their cashback deals. Most CPW contract phones come unlocked. I would have thought that a refurbished PAYG is likely to be unlocked. Your best bet is to ask them - I think that there's a freephone number on the site.

are you kidding me, Mobiles frm CWH never come unlocked, i had like 3 contracts in abt 4-5 yrs all mobiles were locked,mobiles phones come unlocked only from mobiles.co.uk as far as i knw,

I bought one of these six months ago from mobiles.co.uk and it was unlocked and unbranded. It was clearance and came with all accessories/instructions EXCEPT for the headphones, which was no big issue for me.

This seems a good deal to me for a capable touchscreen phone.

I've had the opposite experience, all CPW contract mobiles were unlocked, though CPW typically, but often also does not, have locked payg phones- sometimes from the same stock as their contract ones, so with the same restrictions or none.

mobiles.co.uk are also part of CPW. It may be that some or all phones direct from CPW are locked but I've bought from e2save, one stop phone shop and mobiles.co.uk and contract phones have always been unlocked. The only time I've ever got a locked phone was an iPhone from CPW.
