Jennifer Connelly plays Sarah, a young woman who wishes her baby brother would be taken away by goblins. She gets her wish and now she must rescue him by going through the forbidding passages of a magical labyrinth to reach the castle of the mighty Goblin-King. This takes me back a bit! I loved this film when it came out, and I loved David Bowie even with that hair, the make-up and awful trousers - well worth £2.99!

Amazing, the Making Of on the DVD is brilliant too. The number of people it took to make Hoggle work is one of many fascinating things you find out (clue: lots). Still need to watch The Dark Crystal actually....
