I thought the black controllers were shipped with batteries? Maybe not in console bundles.

Nowhere near as good as the super elite bundle, but then, sadly, they're all gone now

The Amazon deal is still on, with two games for £199.99, with the wireless entertainment pack with the extra controller and pure & batman that you can choose as one of the two games (meaning 3 games and an extra controller) so a much better deal at Amazon!

Game deal is also much much better

Elite, Forza 3 (top game) fifa 10 (top game) and WWE 2010 (mehh, still trade value is high) for £199 (£5 on your reward card if you have one!)

Trade in the 3 games for, say, £70 credit AT WORST, and get CoD out of that, and an extra pad or something while your at it!

The deal is actually better than that, you get two games AND the wep, meaning you get four games, two of which are brand new.

It depends really. If you go with the Amazon deal and you try and sell off the extra stuff, the wireless entertainment pack with the 2 games is only going for £26-£28 on eBay and that's the one with the black controller. If you actually need a second controller and want Pure and Lego Batman, then the Amazon deal is better, but otherwise I think the GAME deal is better.

Not really up to date with consoles (old age)!!! ... but was in Game today with my sons and the manager reserved for them a limited edition Super Elite (?) bundle, which included a 250gb elite console with special CODMW2 graphics, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 game, 2 black controllers and headset for £249.99. Although he showed us the box, he said that he isn't allowed to sell it until tuesday!, so picking it up then. Kids thought it was a good deal. (I think the graphics on the console swung it for them)... kids eh? ...

Well it was that deal that was on when I posted the info 4 days ago, the new deal at Amazon gives you 4 games and an extra controller...so even if the COD game is what you want, im sure the 4 games and controller would be a better deal and buy COD separately. Im sure the two your allowed to choose at Amazon have a trade in/resale value of about the cost of COD.
So your still two games and extra controller up!

My boys 360 got the dreaded RROD today for the third time today so we've sent it packing and bought the deal from Game. It's costing me a bloody fortune but they're worth it

Not sure I see the logic with this.
Amazon: elite with 2 controllers + 4 games = £199.99
Play: elite with 1 controller + 1 game = £199.99

To do a fair comparison you need to compare like for like so if you take this back to how much it would cost for just the barebones elite with 1 controller

Play: elite = £199.99 - £45 (I'm going to use a high price here to show how disappointing this deal is - as well lets face it you wouldnt get £45 trade in) = £144

Amazon = £199.99 - £28 (your quoted price of wireless pack) - £29 (cex price of forza 3 *)- £29 (cex price of borderlands *) = £113.99
* Both games available in the amazon deal at time of posting

For both the above deals you would have the xbox elite with 1 controller.

With the amazon deal you could buy the cod modern warfare 2 for £43.99 (@amazon) and you would have the play.com equivalent deal for £157.89 saving you 40 quidish deal if you sold the bits off as above. OK its a bit of hassle but its a substantial difference.

lolamont - I was comparing the Amazon deal to the deal at GAME. I quoted the wrong person in my response, but I wasn't implying that this deal is better than the Amazon and/or GAME deals, just that the GAME deal may be better than the one on Amazon depending on what you want. I agree with what you said 100%.
