The Berghaus Peak Shell is a waterproof, windproof and highly breathable jacket that's great as an outer layer over a fleece in cold wet conditions, or just as good on it's own over a base layer in warmer climes.

Made with Berghaus' AQ2 fabric, with a nylon face, it will keep you sheltered from downpours, while pushing out any moisture vapours through the fabric while you get active.

The generous cut and silky loose lining will keep you comfortable and won't restrict your movements, while the adjustable hem and cuffs will seal you in from the weather.

I'm always wary of these 'trendy branded' items. On the one hand the brand should be some assurance of performance but on the other hand the name probably doubles the price.

On that basis getting it at a massive discount must make it a HOT deal!

whilst i admit that they are not a bad jacket, they certainly where never £150, no where near, i would say @ £50 they are the right money, these are exactly like the sprayway ones as well, just a simple water resistant kjacket.

not bad though, but dont buy it thinking its mega cheap, go outdoors do this with all there stuff, infact nearly every shop is guilty, as there are no restrictions on RRP, i.e. a company could say that the RRP is £3000 but have a sale on selling them @ £49.99 and theres not a thing that the law can say about it because its RECOMMENDED RETAIL PRICE!

me missus got this in the littlewoods deal, with quidco down to £7.50 a few months back ;)

I am a big go outdoors fan, also big into outdoor activites. I am not overly impressed with this piece of kit for the price. This may be the cheapest you can get it for, but that doesn't make it a good buy.

Well they missed out big time, although i did get fobbed off on the day about black versions not included ... although now i have the yellow one its good for walking and motorbike , being visable, anyway i got the RG1 jacket in the sale last year and i drench from within in it before buying the paclite that i had always wanted, amazing stuff the gortex , im still wet inside from sweat, but i come home and the outer jacket remains dry ... i don't beleive in any of the other so called breathable jackets that are not gortex, may well be a blinkered view ... but gortex is no 1 for a reason ..

Not a bad price for a waterproof, though agree it is not Gore-Tex
Ok for the average walker.

I.e. Generous cut, can be baggy and thus look a little unstylish.
