Phone the police everytime the music is loud, they'll have to come out to get them to turn it down.

phone the enviromental health, and tell them about the last episode, push them, dont just wait around for them to contact you

+1, they will soon get sick of it & hopefully do something about it!

Ear plugs during the night and return the noisy favours during the day....

You can be as noisy as you like between 7am and 11pm!

Alternately find out who there landlord is (if they rent) and complain to them directly every time the noise is unacceptable....

All the incidents would need to be logged too, you should get in touch with the housing office aswell, they might be able to send a letter out about the noise.

i had simmilar prob a few years ago with a 24/7 barking dog, enviromental health wrote to them straight away and it stopped, keep a diary, remember that the law here is on your side. wish you all the best as its awful

ou rneigbours noisy not with music but he seems to run up and down the stairs evry flaming night and the people who come to visit him keep ring my doorbell

We used to have a problem with this too, but only when they would go out and leave it for the whole weekend, it barked constantly, was during the summer too so the windows were open because it was roasting, used to tick me off something awful.

i would really suggest not wasdting police time with something that can dealt with by enviromental health, we dont have enough police resources as it is without them being used to ask someone to turn their music down, and please im not making light of what your going through but use the appropriate channels to deal with this properly, the police are not going to charge them with anything

This happened to me with my next door neighbours, went on for approx 18months. i informed my local council and they sent me diary sheets which have to be filled in for every incident, NOTE EVERYTHING DOWN. Then continue to phone the police everytime there is any noise explain you understand that they cant do anything but that you want a reference number from them to show the disturbance has been reported and then note it down in you diary sheets. It really is a long process but it did work for me and i havent heard a peep out pf them for nearly 2 years, i still wanna slap the tart every time i see her tho!!!!!!

The students next door did exactly this during the first three weeks of their arrival. I solved it by contacting their landlord by letter, email and telephone. He realised that I was going to be a pain in the next so sorted it. I got all the info about noise from the internet and threatened to take matters further if it did not stop. The students got a copy of the letter too. There is hardly a noise out of them now

when i was a student I did this too, the neighbours contacted the landlord by email and letter, so I as the landlord i told him GTFO, the shock he had when he found out I was the landlord.

he should never have caused trouble by blocking my car in cause he thought the house was empty and I was parking to avoid paying in town.
