EXPIRED - Samsung Ecogreen F2 1TB 3.5" HDD (Today Only) SVP (£56.74 incl Delivery)

£56.74

25°

1TB HDD, These samsungs are the best performers in this range of HDD. The Ecogreen HDD's being great on power useage if you wanted to put lots of them in your system.

This drive is about 10% faster than other "Eco" drives if the blurb it to be believed, and though only spinning at 5400RPM operates at the speed of other 7200RPM drives.

This is a fantastic price for a 1TB drive, let alone a Samsung!

Good deal if you want to save on power, but for performance the F3 is a better drive for a similar price

Sorry I bought this exact same one from Ebuyer at £54 (FREE delivery) 2 months ago. I'm sure it's probably still around that price. Cold from me. Cheers for post.

Computer parts change price all the time, They have very strange price patterns due to supply/demand, the current economic climate and the strength of individual currencies.

Except when writing an iso out at 98 meg a second using an f2 instead of 118-126 meg a second with the F1 series and with the 750gig version f3 being faster

I can see where you're coming from, they extra 10 odd Mbps could make a significant distance when doing a big backup or copying HD Movies ect.

However this drive would be awesome in a media centre of some kinda, since the slower spinning speed and power consumption would make it awesome in a quiet system.

Its 28 meg a second speed difference though not 10mbps which is 1.25meg a second.

I have a Samsung F2 tb drive as well as about 6 Samsung F1 TB drives and yeas the F1 is a greate drive for a quiet / power saving PC and even a 98 meg a second write is stunning for an Eco drive as long as it's reading from an F1.

F2 is still a good drive
