Best price around. Can't believe the Comet one, which is £5 more expensive, gets red hot while this has yet to hit 100° in over 24 hours.....

Same here, deals go like that though for some reason Although I posted this 1, i'm looking for a 16gb, but can't find any good deals about.

Might sound pedantic but there is no 3rd gen 8GB model, only the 32GB and 64GB received internal upgrades and can be classed as 3rd gen.

not sure you get a 16gb 3rd generation.... the 8gb is basically the 2g one...

the 32 and the 64gb have a faster processor in and other stuff... (better apple earphones

Similar here, trying to decide if I can warrant either a 16/32gb itouch, or an iphone... reading one of the reviews (I think on cnet, but not certain) they were a little disappointed with what was left off the larger itouch units compared to the latest iphones... decisions! Really did fancy the 16gb itouch for around £229 though...

As for the comet deal getting hot, isn't that because of the free speaker unit?

Noticed the 32GB itouch (3rd GEN) has reduced to £205.99 on Amazon. Pretty good price for it and around £20+ cheaper than most retailers.

the comet one comes with a free £15 unit.... there are other deals out there like £25 itunes vouchers, £15 itunes voucher and a charger.. especially usefuly if going for a touch as you are so tempted to get all those useful and useless apps..

i think its just a matter of going for the deal that suits you.... wait for an argos voucher get a £10 voucher back... etc...

Tesco have the same for £148.97 and if you are a clubcard holder , you will have got a voucher this week for £15.00 off an ipod touch. This along with the clubcard points makes the Tesco one a little cheaper.

Im not totally up on my apple ipods or touch's, but how can this device go online, send emails and have online maps? I thought the touch was more or less the iphone, but without the calls, text and online features such as the itunes store? Is this only through wi-fi?

Would it be better / cheaper to go for the iphone then? My son wants one for Christmas and if this was a better option then I would go for this instead.
