Attractive price for a bit of fun but would it actually get used after the first day in the pool? Only Vivitar quality, no optical zoom, very chunky and it'll eat those AA batteries! It's a £25 camera in a waterproof case.

That said, just an underwater housing for a decent compact can cost way more than this!

On balance, for the right person, for the right trip, HOT!

i have a minolta 35mm waterproof camera and it gets used a hell of a lot , not in this country because of the restrictions on taking photos at swimming pools, but i have probably taken over 1000 photos on it while abroad.

We got it for when we take the little one swimming. We used to use those disposable waterproof cameras but works out very expensive as you can only use them one and then need to pay to get the photos developed.

Ours is a godsent, pic quality was much better than I expected, although can look a bit of perv taking snaps at the swimming baths!

Well, I said I had the earlier version of this camera and was surprised to see someone suggest is was not much better than a toy....

Here are some photos I took with my 'toy' and I felt they were good enough to keep. It produced photos that I felt recorded our snorkelling really well. I have a Nikon D90 but no way could I afford to get a waterproof case for it so although it will not produce pics good enough for National Geographic I think you will agree they are not bad....
