Swear Filter

I posted in a thread this week the 'naughty' word that starts with f and ends in k.

I put an asterik * into the u........................and got suspended for 24hours and I accept that, as I should have used the swear filter.

Today there was a thread where the poster actually posted the F word with no stars at all. I am absolutely not saying that I want that poster suspended - but do want to know why I got suspended and sent to the naughty step for a day and others werent?

Surely it should be same rule applies to all

It cant be an accumulative of points as I only had 1.

As thread now been locked - I have sent an email to admin in the hope they can enlighten me

If we don't know about it, we can't do anything about that post unless we spot it or it's reported.

As you don't want to report, all I can do is stress that we would action this if we saw it.

Can I just point out that abuse of the swear filter is an infractionable offense. This means changing letters in the post, as you did.

However, there is a problem in that the swear filter does not work in the first post of any thread - this may be what you saw.

I recommend to everyone don't test the limits of the swear filter, in case you end up with a suspension.
