Most places have finance options of some variety, very rarely without a deposit though unless you like paying extortionate interest rates. I've never understood people who do this, personally if I can't afford something I don't buy it. Doing things your way will lead to paying well above the going rate, particularly with computers which depreciate rapidly and are obsolete within months. But by all means pay way over the odds for a laptop, if that's your cup of tea.

Not the cheapest place to buy a laptop, but Argos will give 6 or 9 months interest free I think, if you get an Argos Card. Just make sure it's paid off before the interest free period or you'll get stung with a shocking interest rate.

An alternative would be to see if you can get a credit card with zero interest on purchases for say 6 months and just make sure you pay it off (then get rid!) the advantage being that you'd be able to get your laptop from anywhere (better deal)
