My friend, that is a GOOD DEAL!!!

I see this one as getting very hot, especially considering the price!

Edit - Including the three working day delivery cost, it pushes the price up to a total of £29.55p but this is still pretty good, as smaller portable DVD writers are always more expensive. You might want to consider updating the deal thread to include that additional cost as well, to prevent any issues.

Cheers, Scotty Boy!

Peggy Bedford:

The product specification mentions that it comes with a USB Y cable - i.e. a cable with two USB plugs, one for data & power and the other for extra power. Some computers may be able to power this device from a single USB port, but if your computer cannot provide enough power from a single port you will need to connect both ports.

Edit: A bit slow off the mark - Scotty Boy already answered.

That's right, asked the OP to update the deal details to reflect that (see my first post).

Still a good deal though, as I haven't seen many this cheap before now - cheapest ones that come close are full 5 & 1/4 external USB based drives.

Cheers, Scotty Boy!

Personally I use a USB stick or an SD card to transfer from other PCs to my netbook.

Agreed, but sometimes you need to install from a CD/DVD...... windows 7 upgrade for example.

So you can stick a dvd with a film on it into the stick/sd card
