Update on my previous threads re. the school place!!

Hi all.

Just a quick update on my previous threads. I won't bore everyone silly with the details again but I'll stick a link to the threads below in a mo.
Anyways, after yesterday's appeal I attended ( after the help with a fair few folk off here) I received a telephone call at 8:30am-ish this morning.

The appeal was successful and they made an immediate decision to grant our sprog a place at our requested secondary school for her to start next week.
We went along to visit the school today for a guided tour/meet the teachers/kids etc and all is excellent. Very impressed with the place.

Our sprog can't wait to start - it's been a long time coming.

Life back to normal (!) now we hope.
A big thanks again to the folk as per my previous threads. Some personal stories and advice were given and it worked and is much appreciated.
Won't be on tonight because I'm off to watch the footy in the pub to celebrate so I thought I'd shout it now.

Missed those threads, Col but I wouldn't have had any advice of much use, except to say that my 'old school' usually 'lost' appeals!!
Well done and I'm very pleased to see that all has finally gone well and that everything is back on track. Has your 'sprog' been having some sort of tuition provided by the LEA at home? Give me a shout if I can help in any way.
I can sense your enormous relief. Enjoy the footy and hope that all the rest of your family are fine.

Enjoy getting her her uniform and all her school bits, by Christmas time all of this will be just a distant memory xx

She takes away from this the knowledge that her parents will back her when she's been let down and they'll fight for her till they win Not a bad expereince in a way x
