Both posted to employ someone for a commercial venture.

Good luck to those looking for work and those wanting work done. That's not my real question...........

People often post asking for best deals for Sky, BeThere etc...... and people are NOT allowed to either request or offer a referral, where both parties gain something. Ive never understood why members are banned for requested or offerring something, which on the face of it, is what this site is about. ie getting a good deal.

Yet earning £3-400 (as mentioned) is OK?

Like I said, I dont see those threads as a problem...... but if they ARE allowed, why cant someone request a discount referral without being suspended?

ie The rules are silly.

If they were a problem..... why have they been allowed for the last day (and lots more previously)? I'm pretty sure the mods have seen them and this post is in no way complaining. Quite the opposite, I was hoping the stupid rule about referrals being requested and requests filled would be removed.

Hopefully there will be a mod response please?

I'll pass on your comments, however the listings in question have been pulled for falling under the businesslike/services activity. We see many of these and indeed they are pulled. Some do escape through the net and are not subject to mod view/member reports.

Allowing referrals/self promo will turn this boards into a free for all.

On the last part I agree. I dont think it would be productive at all to have threads for people asking if anyone wants to be referred to XYZ (though would be preferable to the crap now in misc)

However, I was talking about someone who wanted a new 3 contract for example being allowed to ask if anyone could refer them, so both parties get something.

Apologies to the OP posters of those threads. I wasn't trying to get them pulled - and it kinda backfired I'm afraid!
