RANT - School photo prices
POSTED BY: Butterflies 2 weeks, 5 days agoI recieved my kids school photo today and was disgusted with the price of the photo's. £10 being the cheapest for 2 gift size photocards. The packages went up to a staggering price, and when you have more than 1 child in the school - it would certainly eat at most people's pockets - who attend the school.
I was wondering whether anyone has recently had school photo's done in or around the London area and how much your packages were - also who were the photographers?
I am going to write to the headmaster, as I've had plenty of photo's done of my children - but not at this price and for the goods received I feel like dressing my kids in their uniforms and taking them to Boots when they do the 1 photo for £5 offer. At least I'd get a decent size and I'd get to choose the photo that looked nicest.
Grrr.
Sorry for being a sour puss, but I've googled school photographers and can't find price lists!

they do a whole class year one now as well & i agree with the OP.

Just got my sons- Ward-Hendry Photography- Cheapest is £9 for 1 x 8x6" £15 for 4 4x6" it's not even that good so I got my digital camera out!

My little girl had hers done recently and I only ordered 1 large photo. That was £11, and it's about A4 sized (with it being in the cardboard frame thing you get). Last year, as it was her first one and I wanted to give the great grandparents/nannies etc one of the piccies, I had to pay £25 which gave me 1 large pic, 2 medium sized, 2 smaller than medium sized and 4 small pics. They use Cardwell & Simons.
The good thing is when my little one joins her school next year, they do chuck siblings in the same photo together so at least it will only be one cost. Still, it'll be nice to have pictures of them together each year, no doubt fighting with each other Edit: Just edited the above to the correct photographer name, although funny enough, the one I previously thought it was is a photographer based in the London area - must be related, lol Last edited by Charlie&Lola : 04-11-2009 at 22:16.
