Hmm. They've got some "Was £17.99, Now £31.99!" type offers too. Could this be a misprice?

A lot cheaper than some of the other deals on the go.

For an NC10 (or other Samsung netbooks) you would want this memory:

2GB PC2-6400 DDR2 800Mhz 200-pin Netbook RAM

Amazon sell Kingston 2GB 667MHz DDR2 Non-ECC CL5 SODIMM at £31.90 as the upgrade for the Samsungs. Later ones have come withh 800Mhz fitted, but to quote from sammywiki.com "The Samsung NC20 Netbook supports PC2-5300 / 667 MHz RAM, but users have reported finding faster PC2-6400 / 800 MHz RAM installed in their model. Either should work fine," :

Hi all, not sure what the rules are on posing a link to another supplier, but I recently upgraded memory in 2 of my old laptops for my kids to use. Both up to the maximum 2GB that each laptop could use.

I used www.funkygiraffe.co.uk

Here is their equivalent (I think with a quick check), only £17.08 with Royal Mail recorded delivery (2nd class)

http://www.funkygiraffe.co.uk/index....emart&Itemid=1

They sell on Ebay or direct. I found direct cheaper than their Ebay shop, even when having to add postage costs. Service was very good, delivery was within 4 working days.

Just to add, I am no way involved with this company.

Worth checking out before the 'main' competitors.

This sounds like a cracking price.

I'd prefer 800Mhz RAM to match what's currently in my recently acquired Dell Studio laptop.

Anyone know if this 667 Mhz Kingston Value Ram is likely to overclock to 800Mhz?

I'd rather match the existing 800Mhz RAM currently in my laptop, too. Not sure how much performace I'd see going from 2Gb to 3.5Gb either.

Just wondering, does RAM need to be in 'matched pairs'?

I have 2x1gb in my laptop, if I were to remove one and put this 2gb in would that be ok, or is it better/faster to have two of the same?!

Thanks!

The extra GB will give a bigger benefit than running in dual-channel.

Large amounts of RAM are more beneficial than smaller amounts with greater bandwidth, especially if you are running Vista.

That said, at this price, no reason to not buy 2 sticks and replace both in your laptop.
