Walking Dog or Cat - Can anyone recommend?

Can anyone recommend or warm me off?

Im after a walking dog or cat, preferable with lead etc.. but want something fairly robust that actually does what it is suppose to - Is that possible? lol

Its for a 2 year old girl.
