Hot from me. I was looking for a Giga router a month ago and couldn't find a decent one under £80. Ended up buying a 5 port Netgear switch for £23 and joining it to my old Netgear G router.

Unless I am mistaken, when you check the mfr code of Mfr Part #: WHR-G300N on the Buffalo site it says it's only 10/100 standard and not 10/100/1000 which is gigabit.

Just read up a bit more cause this could be a mistake on the site saying it's gigabit when it's not.

That's correct. I own this router and it's not Gigabit.

They have a very poor signal strength/range, so if you are thinking of using a computer which is positioned far away from the router you may need to get a better wireless router.

I've got their Wireless III Modem/Router, which is the N-Draft version and to call it rubbish is an insult to my daily kitchen refuse disposal. These are cheaply made Chinese/Taiwanese/Korean rubbish. At least Sky used to provide Netgear (not anymore though, it's mostly Sagem I hear, another load of rubbish)

- Wi-Fi rarely gets anywhere near the 300Mbs, the best is 130Mbs, with 48Mbs or so being typical.
- If you copy large data or streaming on one device, it drops connections to all the other devices during Wi-Fi
- Drops ADSL connections on a frequent basis
- Drops Wi-Fi connections for no rhyme or reason

It's just getting so frustrating at the moment, I am seriously thinking of not carrying on after the 12 months are up. Either that or get myself a Linksys ADSL2 N-Draft Modem/Router

Get yourself a SKY Netgear DG834GT off fleebay.
Flash it with Netgear firmware of even DGteams.
