MBeeching:
I've got the 3 disc, seems pretty difficult to get hold of these days. Not quite sure why they released three different versions of this collection
Have you seen how much the 2 disc SACD remasters are going for these days? Black Celebration is worth a fortune!
I've got all of them except Construction Time Again.
Like you'd ever sell your Depeche Mode albums! Ha!
The single disc edition (we are discussing here) has selections of tracks from all three of the discs in the "Collector's" Limited Edition three-disc version (double CD album plus a bonus disc of remixes; some only available in that set).
The two-disc version was the "standard" edition; the single disc is the 'budget' release.
There was also a digital download set called "Remixes 81–84: Rare Tracks" (although if you have everything ever recorded [like some of us do <cough>], or collected import 12-inch singles or US DJ compilations in the 1980s/1990s a few of the tracks may not be considered 'rare'):
"Behind the Wheel/Route 66 (Megamix)"
"Dream On (Morel's Pink Noise Club Mix)"
"Master and Servant (U.S. Black and Blue Version)"
"Nothing (Justin Strauss Mix)"
"People Are People (Special Edition ON-USound Remix)"
"Little 15 (Bogus Brothers Mix)"
"Freelove (Josh Wink Dub)"
"Personal Jesus (Kazan Cathedral Mix)"
"But Not Tonight (Extended Remix)"
"But Not Tonight (Margouleff Dance Mix)"
"Freelove (Powder Productions Remix)"
"Slowblow (Mad Professor Mix)"
"Rush (Black Sun Mix)"
