Playing cod modern warfare 2 before release date

my son has had an email (via his grampas email who is buying it for him) and said also its on its way...............but am wary of him playing it before official release date!!

if you have the receipt and your console is not modded, you should be fine, if they do ban you, I read that if you have the receipt then they will unban you.

nothing will happen, it's not our fault if a company sends them out early. play them a week early on a flashed console and expect a ban, otherwise it's fine.

most places have taken payment for it by now except the few that only charge on the day it's dispatched, shopto for example. i know a few people who have had dispatch emails from game but after calling they have been told it hasn't actually been shipped yet and they're just processing orders early due to the large amount.

I got the game on Wednesday believe it or not.

Would seem a lot people are taking them from stock rooms with the intension of ringing them through the till on tuesday.

Ive decided to not log into xbox live until tuesday as its not worth the risk. What I can say is my mates and I have played it via LAN and it is incredible.

Not sure Im keen on customisable kill streaks however as the random element to what reward you get for your kill streaks adds a bit of luck to it.

I think I would prefer the old skool 3, 5,7 kills getting you UAV, AIRSTIKE then CHOPPER.

The maps are brilliant though, way more interactive with more items that can be damaged etc. It feels more acrade like and infact one of the multimplayer maps called terminal reminds me so much of virtua cop on the saturn!!

There is no risk WHATSOEVER of getting in trouble from playing the game before its official release date (if you have a legitimate copy)

MS will not ban your account because it is not a copy, they can tell from the info the console sends, they don't just see that you are playing this game before release BANHAMMER.

eople playing before release happens all the time most games seemingly break their release dates somewhere.
MS builds up a portfolio of evidence on people who play copied games before banning them to the point where they are certain that the console has been modified. Its nothing to do with the gamertag at all.

Im desperate to play it online but I swore to my mate I wouldnt as he could lose his job if it got back to them that he got a lot of copies pre-release!

Got mine a day early (this morning) but not enough people online to play a multiplayer game anway?
