If this is new and comes with 12 months warranty, it's a bargain. Non-glare screen as well (not the mirror type). It is such an old model that you can probably find all the drivers for Windows XP and it will be very fast, otherwise you would need an additional 1GB of RAM for Vista. You could try W7 of course but wasn't much faster than Vista when I tried on a Celeron machine.

Now out of stock

Had to make another account with the website as I didn't receive activation email. Then when I entered my card details and placed the order I just got a white screen. Figured it was Google Chrome being silly on the latter problem. Fired up Firefox and it was out of stock!

Ah well, my auntie will have to wait for the next budget laptop deal!

I believe Fujitsu and Siemens parted a while ago. Does that mean this is VERY old (and/or refurbed)?

I think this specific model has been on the go over the last couple of years - I've popped over the Fujistsu Website and they have that model listed on the software support page, which includes links to Windows XP, Vista & 7 device drivers.

anyone had any experience with fujitsu? - my dad had one and it does nothing but overheat, though it is an old laptop now (3-4 years, so maybe they just hadn't solved overheating problems back then).

I am tempted but I just darent buy it knowing how my dads was lol.
