Is this laptop a good deal? Ebuyer - are they any good?

POSTED BY: elfself 2 weeks, 3 days ago

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/177166#

Acer Extensa 5230E
5230E Laptop,Intel Celeron 900 2.2GHz 1GB RAM 160GB DVD±RW 15.4" TFT, Windows 7 Home Premium

Mainly for music playing and internet - will the specs work for that?

And, are EBuyer any good? Never ordered from before - any customers on the forum who have shopped with them - are they any good?

Thanks.

Personally, I would say for an extra £50 or £100 you could get a much better machine.

Look in your local tesco!

As above?? ^^^^^
Think you'll have to pay a little extra for a non-glossy screen. There is another Acer with an LED LCD screen, probably glossy too though - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/167396

Dont know if it has green lights.....Any reason why it has to have these? Even if you're colour blind its light....its on, flashing or off...??

I know two people with cheap acer laptops and they were both balky and sluggish in general so I'd avoid this one unless you can put up with twiddling your thumbs.

What about a Dell Vostro or Latitude from the dell outlet? I don't know if they'll have green LEDs but they're business laptops so they should have matt screens.
